Oracle ADF en Open Source: een perfect match

In deze presentatie worden de concepten van het Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) uitgelegd. ADF is een op open standaarden gebaseerd raamwerk dat web applicatie ontwikkeling verregaand versnelt en vereenvoudigt, terwijl de ontwikkelaar een grote mate van flexibilteit behoudt in zijn technologie keuzes. ADF werkt niet alleen uitstekend samen met Oracle frameworks als Business Components en TopLink, maar ook met technologien als Struts, Castor, Session Beans en Web Services. De focus in deze presentatie ligt op de integratie met deze open (source) standaarden. In een uitgebreide demo bouwt Steven vanaf scratch een web applicatie die onder andere gebruik maakt van een web service en grafieken bevat, en de data ophaalt via een Session bean die castor objecten gebruikt om naar XML te persisteren.

Steven has more than 15 years of experience with Oracle Technology and is Technical Architect within Oracle Consulting. Steven is closely involved in large java projects of Oracle Consulting. He is co-author of the "Oracle CDM standards and guidelines for modeling, designing and building multi-tier internet applications". In addition Steven is the lead architect and initiator of Oracle JHeadstart, a Java productivity toolkit that works on top of Oracle JDeveloper's 'Application Development Framework' (ADF) and that implements the best practices of Oracle Consulting. Steven has won different prices on international conferences amongst others for best speaker and best white paper. He is a member of the Oracle Ace Program.
