3D Game Development with the jMonkey EngineThe JMonkey Engine (jME) is an open source, Java based, 3D Game development framework. This presentation will teach how to use the jMonkey Engine to create your own games by giving you a clear understanding of the abstractions used by jME (and many other game development frameworks) such as the scene graph, collision detection using bounding volumes and movement and animation all using very little code. During the course of this presentation we will rebuild our solar system with the sun, earth and the moon. To spice things up we'll introduce evil asteroids from another dimension that will try and collide with the earth causing worldwide panic. After this presentation you will have enough knowledge to start building your own 3D games in Java!
