Creating and Managing clustered OSGi™ applications

Description

This presentation discusses a basic lightweight architecture that addresses the need for managing a cluster of OSGi™ enabled instances. We will then demonstrate how this can be used by applications that need basic redundancy, clustering or even more fine grained control at the service level which allows the configuration of specialized nodes in the cluster.

Throughout the presentation code examples and a demo implementation based on Apache Felix and Terracotta will be used.

Track Enterprise

Level Intermediate

Prerequisite knowledge Knowledge of the OSGi™ architecture, a basic understanding of JVM level clustering and familiarity with basic EAI patterns.
