Java Developer

As Java developer you will be part of IMC Software Development team. He/she is part of the team responsible for developing our cutting-edge in-house Java applications, including:

• Front Office Trading applications
• Risk Management and other Mid Office applications
  

The Java developers are involved in these application areas from the requirement phase to roll-out. After an initial introduction period your roles will include the following:

• Business Analysis
• Design
• Implementation
• Testing
• Roll out

The Java development team at IMC is a global, growing team working with a state of the art infrastructure. Working in the fast changing trading world will require you to maintain a constant balance between pragmatism and a focus on long term sustainable solutions. You’ll be working in a demanding environment with plenty of challenges and accompanying rewards.

Your profile

• 3-7 years experience with large scale J2SE Java development
• Experience with mySQL is considered desirable
• Experience with Swing is considered desirable
• Experience with Unix (Linux) and Windows as a development platform
• Strong knowledge of different architectures and design patterns
• Understanding of the tools and processes required for large scale software development
• Bachelor or higher education degree and thinking level
