Comment mailed to javaoneinfo@eventreg.com:
Hi,

I am trying to build my schedule, but compared to the version of previous years,
this version is not very "planning friendly" . Some easy fixes to make the system
more usable and save tons of time scheduling:

* Make session links in "My Schedule". You cannot link to a session that is put into
your schedule; you only can link to the "speaker". This only happens if you have
just added a session to your schedule. When you have pressed "Save my Schedule",
the links will appear.. very strange and inconsistent behavior
* When you search for a speaker, You have to cut and past session identification and
then look up the session again…This is the Internet… You can link stuff…..
* Create a time table and let people fill in the gaps; this scheduler uses the approach to
schedule based on topics. I like to schedule based on "timeslots" (like previous versions).
So show a grid with all the available time-slots each day. Once a slot is pressed,
show all available sessions in this slot (of all the tracks) and let the user pick one or
more; show conflicts in the slot. It is very difficult to see what sessions run
concurrent to the one you are about to select….

I hope you can get these things in the system, but with system, You better can
wait for the final conference-guide and hope there is a matrix in there….
