MDA and the application developer
Model Driven Architecture is a new way to develop applications. A model holds the functional requirements, and from this model the code is generated using patterns. Does this mean that the application programmer is no longer needed in the future, because the code is generated? Or should he enjoy using MDA tools, because he can focus on the real functionality the application must deliver. Has MDA an impact on what an application programmer must do, or the skills needed. How do you create models, who develops the patterns, can you control the generated code? During the presentation OptimalJ is used to find an answer to these questions.
