Na een korte periode van grote aandacht dreigt Jini ten onder te gaan aan een gebrekkige PR en een verkeerde uitleg quatoepasbaarheid. Deze sessie gaat in over de eigenlijke achtergrond van Jini, haar huidige status en de te verwachten ontwikkelingen.
Daarnaast wordt tijdens deze presentatie aandacht besteed aanvaringen met Jini architectuurkenmerk in zowel puur Jini oplossingen alswel in combinatie met OSGi.

Richard is a software engineer with his roots in distributed, object-oriented software development. Over the last years, Richard has been involved in the adoption of new Java technologies (e.g. Jini and OpenWings) and the associated changed architectural styles in projects. Based on concept of services and pervasive computing, Richard is often found in resource constrained, yet high-impact systems.

NLJUG Founded in 1998, the Dutch Java Users Group consists of business partners, software developers, application architects, technical managers, students, and new media developers that have a common interest in all aspects of Java Technology.
