A PROOF OF CONCEPT FOR ING BELGIUM
How useful are Enterprise Java Beans (EJB's) in your
mission-critical and high-transactional environment?
Which approach is best for persisting
your financial data?
Are EJB's powerful enough to support
the amount of transactions your applications have to deal with every day?
Is it safer and cheaper to build your
own supporting development framework?
What do you win in terms of time to
market in case of DAO versus CMP or BMP or perhaps JDO for data
persistence?
We all heard
the myths that veil the J2EE platform. "Java is slow
", "EJB's are difficult and cumbersome", "You better build your own framework
instead of using the industry standard", etc. We believe it is time to
finally get rid of those assumptions and provide you with cold hard evidence!
No
assumptions, no myths, only proof. Real proof by means of real test cases, real
experiments, real
results.
On request of
ING Belgium, ACA IT-Solutions and Sun Microsystems
conducted a proof of concept regarding different development approaches in J2EE
in order to discover which are most useful in financial application
implementations. Also, data persistence is a big deal in financial application
development and could turn out disastrous when mal-implemented.
The results of the
investigation are truly interesting because they contradict many of the myths that are out there
and manage to stay alive.
ACA IT-Solutions and ING Belgium are
willing to unveil and share some of the results with
you. This is an invitation to come and see for yourself how you too can
profit from making the right choices. See how ING
Belgium leveraged this POC to a European level and learn about the
consequences this POC had for the internal ING
organization.
Attend this
unique session and go home with actual information, real
results, useful tips and answers to the questions that
(should) keep you busy.
