Building real-world J2EE applications that fit into SOAs

Er is veel ruis en hype rond Service Oriented Architectures. Het aan elkaar knopen van alle enterprise systemen middels web services lijkt een schitterende oplossing, maar de Java/J2EE programmeur moet het maar waarmaken. Wat in een plaatje gemakkelijk is getekend blijkt in de praktijk vaak een lastige klus. In deze sessie wil ik ingaan op een aantal do's en don'ts, met name geredeneerd vanuit de techniek.

Korte inleiding SOAs zodat iedereen het beeld scherp heeft. Een paar SOA anti-patterns. Concrete technische tips en overdenkingen uit de praktijk. Interoperability van web services, ook met bijvoorbeeld Microsoft .NET en uiteraard performance.

Bert Ertman is bestuurslid van de NLJUG en in zijn dagelijks werk Fellow bij Luminis. Hij is sinds 1996 actief op het vlak van Java/J2EE development, advisering en training.
