Speeding up Java applications

Xebia organiseert op 31 oktober t/m 3 november 2006 samen met Kirk Pepperdine een vierdaagse cursus "Speeding up Java applications". Kirk Pepperdine is autoriteit op het gebied van Java performance tuning, CTO van javaperformancetuning.com én editor van TheServerSide. Tijdens de cursus geeft hij de deelnemers diepgaand inzicht in het verbeteren van de performance van Java applicaties om ze aan de verwachtingen van opdrachtgevers en gebruikers te laten voldoen.

Jij kunt hierbij aanwezig zijn! Deze unieke hands-on cursus is interessant voor jou als J2EE ontwikkelaar, architect of Java performance tester. Kirk ontwikkelde deze cursus op basis van ruime praktijkervaring. De vier hoofdonderwerpen die hij behandelt, zijn:

Performance Tools and Methodology;
Java Performance Coding Best Practices;
Garbage Collection and Heap Tuning;
Architecting & Designing for Performance.

On the one hand computers equal performance and of course every computer programmer knows how to write the fastest code around. However, I keep running into projects in trouble that are suffering from different forms of the identical [performance] problem." ... "once a developer has been through this course, he won’t look at a performance problem with the same eyes ever again."
